So I did a really unique mix today. I incorporated both my Roland MC-909s, my MacBook Pro and my Technics turntable. 5 total sources of sound as I was using my Mbox and onboard soundcard to play Reason tracks and iTunes on my MacBook Pro. I sampled two articles using Mac's Speak function:
So I wiped my SD card clean and recorded one more thing our listeners. It is a mix of "I Wanna Drive Your Bus," and "The Anthem" done at 254 and 127 BPM. It is 12 minutes and 20 seconds long.
I bought another MC-909 off of eBay. That makes two. Enjoy the first of many mixes I will record. Sadly, my memory card ran out while I was jamming and only about half of the mix was recorded.
I just got a new Pioneer DJM-2000 Mixer. I recorded this mix as I started messing around with it. This is only MC-909 tracks. I wanna drive your bus, Better Today, The Anthem, Mandatory Evacuation and 90 are featured.
It was one year ago today that a horrible tragedy began in Japan. Army of Techno has not forgotten. Here is a mix of my latest hard techno Reason track.
I was at Bush Intergalactic Airport a few weeks ago and made this track on my MBP while at the gate waiting for my plane to arrive. IAH is the symbol for Bush Intergalactic Airport and I was delayed there. This is why this track is called iahdelayed. It is 128 BPM and I used my MBP with Reason 5, my Tascam X-9 Mixer, and my Korg Kaoss Pad 2 for the recording of this mix. I recorded this mix just now back in the Dagobah System. This mix is 14 minutes and 46 seconds long.
I have proven before that I am a fan of Alternative Energy, but this track is more about the actual act of drilling into the earth. It is probably inspired by all the Gears of War 3 Beta I have been playing lately, but I sure do like it. The mix is 15 minutes and 29 seconds long. It is not for people with vaginal walls for eardrums, with all due respect. I am just looking out for your precious virgin eardrums. Anyone else who likes my hard industrial music will enjoy this 120 BPM track.
Made a couple more tracks on Reason 5.0 on my MBP. I played "Earl Divx is a Bad Man," a 105 BPM womp industrial track, for the first 15 minutes and then ended the mix with my other new 120 BPM hard industrial techno track "Drill Baby Drill." This mix is hard and should be listened to very loudly over and over again. This track is 25 minutes and 9 seconds long.
This one should be self-explanatory. I just made this Reason track today. See if you can guess what previous AOT track is being sampled. This track is 16 minutes and 9 seconds long.
Another PC Mix, hot off the presses. It got cut off as I ran out of space on my SD Card. I mixed three tracks from the 140 Alphabet together: 140A, 140O and 140D. The mix is rough around the edges as I had three tracks playing simultaneously, but this is part of the process that I will continue until the 140 Alphabet is complete. This mix is 12 minutes 15 seconds long.
More music. I just recorded this mix of two tracks of my 140 alphabet that I made many years back on Reason. This is hard techno. I used my sampler quite a bit. It is 14 minutes and 46 seconds long.
I made a new track, "Jobby Jobberson at Japple Inc." with Reason 5.0 on my MacBook Pro today and decided to record a mix of it. I then mixed in some 909 tracks. "Mandatory Evacuation," "Anomaly" and "I Wanna Drive Your Bus." I also used the Tascam X-9's sampler on multiple occasions. My friend Windy Workerton of Worksville, Workshire recently gave be the nickname Jobby Jobberson at Japple Inc. This mix is 33 minutes 38 seconds long.
